Our Running Buddies from GOTR
We were "running buddies" with some of the girls in the program, and it was a great experience. Girls from all over the valley can join the program, but many that do are usually from lower-income families, and they struggle with more than a lot of others do. We were able to get to know a few of them and hear their stories, goals and dreams. It was very inspiring to be a part of this event, and I want to thank our friends at GOTR for doing such a wonderful thing for these girls, and for allowing us to be a part of today.

Brandy - I've been meaning to tell you yet keep forgetting, yet here is the perfect post on your blog to remind me! Brittani has participated in the GOTR program here in Arizona for two years now and has loved it! It is an amazing program for sure! The first year, Dan ran it as her buddy. He signed up to run it again this year and when the time came, he wasn't sure he was going to be able to do it (work conflict). Brittani's very first response was, "Do you think we could call Brandy and have her come run it with me?" Thank you for inspiring my little runner to keep running! We read your blog together and she loves it! She loves you and it makes me happy to know she has such a WONDERFUL person to look up to!!! Love you!!
ReplyDeleteThat is so awesome! Tell Brittani I am proud of her, and yes I would be more than happy to come and run with her anytime she needs me(I'll take any opportunity to come to AZ to see you guys). Keep pushing forward Brittani-you are so amazing!I love and miss you guys, too!
